Nach 15 Monaten Pause und ein paar kleineren Umbauten geht es bald wieder los. Wegen des Mitte M\u00e4rz gesunkenen Schiffes und den versch\u00e4rften Bedingungen von Grimaldi m\u00fcssen wir diesmal beim Packen genau \u00fcberlegen, was wir mitnehmen. Eine der Bedingungen ist, dass das Fahrzeug nicht schwerer als das in den Papieren angegebene zul\u00e4ssige H\u00f6chstgewicht ist. Unser Albatros kann zwar vom Fahrgestell 9 Tonnen tragen, hat aber nur eine 7,5 Tonnen Zulassung. Nach einigem Hin und Her haben wir es geschafft. Wir sind zwar \u00fcber dem Gewicht, werden aber bis Hamburg auch noch einige Liter Diesel verbrauchen und dann sollte es passen. Mitte August bringen wir Albatros nach Hamburg zum Hafen. Die Fahrt verl\u00e4uft ziemlich ereignislos. Kurz vor Hamburg fragt Ralph mich, wie weit es noch ist. Als ich mit dem Navi besch\u00e4ftigt bin, f\u00e4ngt Ralph an zu hupen. Als ich nachfrage, sagt er, dass er das Solinger Auto vor uns gr\u00fc\u00dfen wollte, dessen Insassen beim \u00dcberholen gewunken haben. Ein Blick auf das Nummernschild und ich wei\u00df, dass das unsere Freunde Henry und Liz sind. Da kurz darauf ein Parkplatz kommt, fahren wir f\u00fcr einen kurzen Plausch raus. Als wir in Hamburg ankommen, ist der WoMo Stellplatz ausgebucht. In einer Camper App hatte ich aber vorher schon einen Stellplatz im Hafen gesehen. Dort stehen wir auch ganz gut \u2026. bis uns um kurz vor 23:00h ein Klopfen weckt. Drau\u00dfen steht die Polizei und bittet uns, den Platz zu verlassen und auf der Stra\u00dfe zu Parken. Na ja, geht f\u00fcr den Rest der Nacht auch. Aufgrund der Inspektion und der Reparatur der Einspritzpumpe hat Albatros weniger Sprit verbraucht als wir dachten. Dadurch bringt er dann am n\u00e4chsten Morgen, als wir ihn abgeben, 7.520 kg auf die Waage. Au\u00dfer einer kurzen \u00e4u\u00dferen Begutachtung wird aber nichts kontrolliert. Anschlie\u00dfend laufen wir noch ein bisschen durch die Stadt, da unser Zug erst nachmittags geht und sind dann abends wieder wohlbehalten in unserer Wohnung. Nun bleibt uns nur noch abwarten und hoffen, dass wir Albatros im September wohlbehalten in Montevideo wiedersehen. \u00dcber Marinetraffic k\u00f6nnen wir den Weg des Schiffes, der Grande Francia, verfolgen. Auf der Grimaldi Seite wird alle 5-10 Tage der Fahrplan aktualisiert. Die Ankunft wird immer weiter nach hinten geschoben. Am 11. September ist es dann soweit: Fred holt uns nachmittags ab und bringt uns zum Flughafen. Der erste Flug von D\u00fcsseldorf nach Madrid ist ziemlich laut (S\u00e4uglinge an Bord) und es gibt keinerlei kostenlos Verpflegung. Selbst ein Glas Wasser muss bezahlt werden. Um 0:05h geht es dann am 12. September weiter nach Montevideo. Mit gutem Service und relativ ruhigem Flug (2 x mussten wir die Sicherheitsgurte anlegen, da es drau\u00dfen ein bisschen st\u00fcrmisch war) landen wir 20 Minuten fr\u00fcher als geplant in Uruguay.<\/p>\n

After 15 months interruption and a few changes, we\u2019ll soon be on the road again. Since a ship of the Grimaldi Group sunk in March, the rules for campers are now more strikt and we need to carefully check, what we pack. One of the new rules is, that the vehicle isn\u2019t allowed to weigh more than the registered maximum weight. Albatros can carry a weight of 9 tons but only is registered with 7,5 tons, After a bit of back and forth we are finally done. Albatros is still slightly above the maximum weight but on the drive to Hamburg we\u2019ll burn quite a few litres of diesel and should then be fine. We drive Albatros to the harbor in Hamburg in mid August. The trip is relatively straight forward. Shortly before we reach Hamburg, Ralph asks me how far it still is. Whilst I am busy with our Garmin, he starts honking. When I ask him why he is doing this he says, he wanted to return a greeting from a car that just passed us and the passengers were waiving. It only takes a short check of the car\u2019s number plate and I know these are our friends Henry and Liz. Since there is a rest area soon, we stop for a quick chat. When we reach Hamburg, the campground is already fully booked but I had already checked another place close to the harbor in a camper app. The place is not too bad \u2026. until at 11:00h pm we are woken by a knock on the door. A policeman asks us to leave and park on the street. Not the nicest place but ok for the rest of the night. Due to the service and the renewed injection pump Albatros obviously was less thirsty than we thought. Therefore the total weight still is 7.520 kilos when we deliver it at the harbor but nobody cares. Except for a short check from the ouside there is no other control. Afterwards we go for a short stroll through Hamburg since our train doesn\u2019t leave until later in the afternoon and in the evening we are back home. Now it is time to wait and pray that we\u2019ll receive Albatros in good condition in Montevideo in September. Via Marinetraffic we follow the progress of the Grande Francia, our ship. Grimaldi updates the schedule every 5-10 days. The arrival in Montevideo is pushed back again and again. On September 11, Fred picks us up in the afternoon and drives us to D\u00fcsseldorf airport. The first leg from D\u00fcsseldorf to Madrid is pretty loud (babys on board) and there are neither drinks nor food for free. Even a glass of water has to be paid. At 0:05h am we continue towards Montevideo. With good service and a relatively quiet flight (the Fasten Seatbelt sign was on twice due to weather condititions) we arrive in Uruguay 20 minutes ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
