Nie im Leben h\u00e4tten wir uns vorstellen k\u00f6nnen, dass wir 7 Monate in San Martin de los Andes festh\u00e4ngen. Auch als die 1. Quarant\u00e4ne verk\u00fcndet wurde, sind wir noch davon ausgegangen, dass wir im Juli nach Deutschland fliegen und dann unsere Reise Ende August fortsetzten. Aus heutiger Sicht, kann man wohl sagen, dass wir die Situation v\u00f6llig untersch\u00e4tzt haben.<\/p>\n

Obwohl wir den Winter mit defekter Heizung und nur einem kleinen elektrischen L\u00fcfter \u00fcberstehen mussten, sehen wir die Zeit dort nicht als verlorene Zeit. Wir haben unendlich viel Hilfsbereitschaft durch die Mitarbeiter der verschiedenen Beh\u00f6rden und fremde Menschen erfahren. Wir haben Freundschaften mit Menschen geschlossen, die wir sonst nur im Vorbeigehen gegr\u00fc\u00dft h\u00e4tten. Unsere \u201eLeidensgenossen\u201c, unsere \u201eVermieter\u201c und die Argentinier, die uns so viel Hilfe angeboten haben, sind uns sehr ans Herz gewachsen und die gemeinsame Zeit hat sie f\u00fcr uns zu einer 2. Familie werden lassen. Der Abschied ist uns wirklich schwergefallen. Wir hoffen, dass wir sie alle im n\u00e4chsten Jahr irgendwo auf unserer Route wiedersehen werden.<\/p>\n

Jetzt sind wir schon seit 2 Monaten in Deutschland und f\u00fchlen uns hier isolierter als in Argentinien, da kurz nachdem wir aus der Quarant\u00e4ne entlassen wurden, in Deutschland die Kontaktbeschr\u00e4nkungen versch\u00e4rft wurden. Unsere Familien haben wir (fast) alle pers\u00f6nlich getroffen aber die meisten unserer Freunde haben wir nur am Telefon oder per WhatsApp oder Zoom gesehen und gesprochen. W\u00e4hrend in Argentinien die Zahlen runter und die Temperaturen rauf gehen, ist es hier umgekehrt. W\u00e4hrend in Argentinien das Reisen langsam wieder m\u00f6glich ist, gehen wir hier vom Lockdown light in eine strengere Variante und werden auch Weihnachten nur sehr eingeschr\u00e4nkt feiern k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Bleibt alle gesund!<\/p>\n

Never in our lives would we have imagined that we would be stuck in San Martin de los Andes for 7 months. Even when the 1st quarantine was announced, we still assumed that we would fly to Germany in July and then continue our journey at the end of August. From today’s point of view, we can say that we completely underestimated the situation. <\/em><\/p>\n

Although we had to survive the winter with defective heating and only a small electric fan, we do not see the time there as lost time. We have experienced endless helpfulness from the staff of the various authorities and strangers. We have made friends with people whom we would otherwise have only greeted in passing. Our „fellow sufferers“, our „landlords“ and the Argentineans who offered us so much help have grown very close to our hearts and the time we spent together has made them become a 2nd family to us. It was really hard for us to say goodbye. We hope that we will see them all again next year somewhere on our route.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now we have been in Germany for 2 months and feel more isolated here than in Argentina, because shortly after we were released from quarantine, the contact restrictions were tightened in Germany. We have met our families (almost) all in person but most of our friends we have only seen and talked to on the phone or via WhatsApp or Zoom. While in Argentina the numbers are going down and the temperatures are going up, here it is the other way around. While in Argentina traveling is slowly possible again, here we go from lockdown light to a stricter version and will also be able to celebrate Christmas only very limited.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nunca en nuestras vidas habr\u00edamos imaginado que estar\u00edamos atrapados en San Mart\u00edn de los Andes durante 7 meses. Incluso cuando se anunci\u00f3 la primera cuarentena, todav\u00eda asumimos que volar\u00edamos a Alemania en julio y luego continuar\u00edamos nuestro viaje a finales de agosto. Desde el punto de vista actual, podemos decir que hemos subestimado completamente la situaci\u00f3n. <\/em><\/p>\n

Aunque tuvimos que sobrevivir el invierno con una calefacci\u00f3n defectuosa y s\u00f3lo un peque\u00f1o ventilador el\u00e9ctrico, no vemos el tiempo all\u00ed como tiempo perdido. Hemos experimentado una infinita cantidad de ayuda del personal de las diversas autoridades y de los extra\u00f1os. Nos hemos hecho amigos de gente que de otra manera s\u00f3lo habr\u00edamos saludado de pasada. Nuestros „compa\u00f1eros de infortunio“, nuestros „terratenientes“ y los argentinos que nos ofrecieron tanta ayuda han crecido muy cerca de nuestros corazones y el tiempo que pasamos juntos ha hecho que se conviertan en una 2\u00aa familia para nosotros. Fue muy dif\u00edcil para nosotros decir adi\u00f3s. Esperamos verlos a todos de nuevo el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o en alg\u00fan lugar de nuestra ruta.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ahora hemos estado en Alemania por 2 meses y nos sentimos m\u00e1s aislados aqu\u00ed que en Argentina, porque poco despu\u00e9s de que fuimos liberados de la cuarentena, las restricciones de contacto se hicieron m\u00e1s estrictas en Alemania. Hemos conocido a nuestras familias (casi) en persona, pero la mayor\u00eda de nuestros amigos s\u00f3lo los hemos visto y hablado por tel\u00e9fono o a trav\u00e9s de WhatsApp o Zoom. Mientras que en Argentina los n\u00fameros bajan y las temperaturas suben, aqu\u00ed es al rev\u00e9s. Mientras que en Argentina volver a viajar es posible lentamente, aqu\u00ed pasamos de la cuarantena light a una versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s estricta y tambi\u00e9n s\u00f3lo podremos celebrar la Navidad de una manera muy limitada.<\/em><\/p>\n
