Am Mittwoch erfahren wir, dass am Freitag jemand vom Zoll kommt und wir endlich eine neue Einfuhrgenehmigung f\u00fcr Albatros bekommen. Unseren K\u00fchlschrank haben wir auch zur\u00fcck, aber leider l\u00e4uft er immer noch nicht. Wir nutzen also die Zeit, uns um dieses Problem zu k\u00fcmmern und finden einen Dometic Service Partner nur ca. 11 km von unserem Stellplatz entfernt. Sie reagieren auch schnell auf unsere Mail und wir vereinbaren, dass wir den K\u00fchlschrank vorbeibringen, wenn wir wieder fahren d\u00fcrfen. Die Dame vom Zoll kommt dann am Freitag gegen Mittag mit Mann und Sohn. Wahrscheinlich nutzt sie die Gelegenheit und geht direkt von hier aus ins Wochenende. Wir bekommen eine neue Einfuhrgenehmigung bis 08. Mai 2022.  Am Montag fahren wir morgens zu dem Dometic Service Partner. Nachdem wir das Viertel systematisch eingekreist haben (mehrere Stra\u00dfen waren wegen Baustellen gesperrt), finden wir die Firma nicht. Da meine argentinische SIM-Karte immer noch nicht funktioniert, k\u00f6nnen wir sie auch nicht anrufen oder per WhatsApp kontaktieren. Zur\u00fcck am Platz schicke ich dann eine WhatsApp und es stellt sich raus, dass ich eine falsche Haus-Nummer hatte. Wir haben direkt vor ihrem Haus gestanden, aber auf der anderen Stra\u00dfenseite einen Hinweis gesucht. Also machen wir uns nachmittags nochmals auf den Weg und diesmal klappt alles. Wir m\u00fcssen den K\u00fchlschrank dalassen, damit sie ihn testen k\u00f6nnen. Sie sagen uns aber auch direkt, dass es eine Woche dauern kann, da bei ihnen Ferienzeit ist und die Techniker alle in Urlaub sind. Wir beschlie\u00dfen, die Wartezeit nicht mehr in Tigre zu verbringen, sondern an den Rio de La Plata zu fahren. Da geht wenigstens etwas Wind, der die Hitze (\u00fcber 30 Grad) ertr\u00e4glicher macht. Mit einem \u00dcbernachtungsstopp in Puerto Madero finden wir am Strand von Punta Lara reichlich Stellpl\u00e4tze. An einem Kiosk versuche ich eine SIM-Karte von einem anderen Anbieter zu kaufen und zu aktivieren. Aber selbst mit Hilfe der sehr netten Mitarbeiterin hat es nicht geklappt. Ihr wird von der Hotline gesagt, ich solle mir den Namen und die DNI (Passnumer) eines Argentiniers besorgen. Das w\u00e4re einfacher, als die Karte mit einem ausl\u00e4ndischen Pass zu registrieren. Aber immerhin habe ich jetzt Internetzugang in der N\u00e4he des Kiosks, da mir die Mitarbeiterin den Zugangscode gegeben hat. Am Freitag fahren wir in die Innenstadt von La Plata und da kann ich dann endlich in einem Clar\u00f3 Shop die argentinische SIM-Karte aktivieren. Dumm nur, dass am Strand kein Clar\u00f3 Signal ankommt. Die Stadtbesichtigung f\u00e4llt wegen der Hitze auch nur kurz aus. Wir laufen durch einen der vielen Parks und schauen uns die Casa Cruchuet an, die einer der architektonischen Highlights der Stadt ist. Am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag sind wir wieder am Strand von Punta Lara, als ich von drau\u00dfen eine Stimme h\u00f6re, die sich anh\u00f6rt, als w\u00fcrde sie Ralph rufen. Als ich raus gehe, steht drau\u00dfen Pablo mit seiner Tochter Catalina. Er hat unser Auto schon am 1. Tag in Punta Lara gesehen und sich unseren Blog angeschaut. Jetzt m\u00f6chte er uns gerne kennenlernen und uns, falls n\u00f6tig, seine Hilfe anbieten. Catalina fungiert als Dolmetscherin. Ich bin beeindruckt, wie gut die 11-J\u00e4hrige Englisch spricht und f\u00fcr ihren Vater \u00fcbersetzt. Da sich mit unserem K\u00fchlschrank nichts weiter tut, nehmen wir die Hilfe am n\u00e4chsten Tag tats\u00e4chlich in Anspruch und ich bitte ihn, uns Kontaktdaten f\u00fcr einen H\u00e4ndler, der (chinesische) K\u00fchlschr\u00e4nke anbietet rauszufinden. Pablo telefoniert noch mit einem Freund, der selber K\u00fchlschr\u00e4nke repariert und ein anderer Freund kommt auch noch vorbei um sich unseres Problems anzunehmen. Letztlich bekommen wir Kontakt zu dem H\u00e4ndler und der eine Freund best\u00e4tigt uns, dass er selber einen chinesischen K\u00fchlschrank in seinem Wohnmobil hat und die gar nicht schlecht sind. Also ist unsere Entscheidung gefallen und wir vereinbaren mit dem H\u00e4ndler, dass wir am Mittwoch bei ihm vorbeikommen und den K\u00fchlschrank abholen. Jetzt k\u00f6nnen wir den letzten Tag in La Plata noch ein bisschen genie\u00dfen. Catalina und ihre Mutter Rocio kommen mittags noch vorbei und bringen uns kleine Abschiedsgeschenke und einen super netten Brief. Auch an dieser Stelle nochmal ganz herzlichen Dank an die ganze Familie. Unser n\u00e4chstes Problem ist jetzt, unsere leere Gasflasche gef\u00fcllt zu bekommen, aber das geht bei einem Gaswerk in Areco einfacher und schneller als gedacht. Als n\u00e4chstes Etappenziel steht Rosario auf unserem Plan. Auf dem Weg dorthin \u00fcbernachten wir aber noch einmal auf dem Campingplatz Municipal de Baradero. In Rosario waren wir ja 2019 schon einmal, mussten aber wegen Problemen mit der Batterie nach der 1. Nacht auf einen au\u00dferhalb gelegenen Campingplatz ausweichen. Schnell finden wir unseren Stellplatz wieder und bleiben 4 N\u00e4chte. Die ersten beiden N\u00e4chte haben wir ein bisschen Live Musik, da im nebenan gelegenen Amphitheater ein Konzert stattfindet. Wegen der Hitze halten wir uns \u00fcberwiegend in den Parks entlang des Ufers auf und laufen mehrmals zu einer Eisdiele, die wir durch Zufall entdeckt haben. Wegen Karneval sind Montag und Dienstag noch Feiertage. Hier findet das Leben ganz viel in den Parks statt und daher sind diese von nachmittags bis zum fr\u00fchen Abend voll mit Einheimischen. Diesmal schaffen wir es einen Tag mit dem Aufzug auf die Aussichtsplattform des Memorial La Bandera zu fahren; hier wurde die argentinische Flagge das 1. Mal gehisst. Bevor wir Rosario wieder verlassen, g\u00f6nnen wir uns noch ein sp\u00e4tes Mittagessen im Restaurant „El viejo Balc\u00f3n“.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday we learn that on Friday someone from customs will come and we will finally get a new import permit for Albatros. We also have our refrigerator back, but unfortunately it still doesn\u2019t work. So, we use the time to take care of this problem and find a Dometic service partner only about 11 km from our current location. They respond quickly to our mail and we agree to bring the fridge over as soon as we are allowed to drive again. The lady from customs arrives on Friday around noon with husband and son. Probably she uses the opportunity to directly start the weekend. We get a new import permit until 08 May 2022. On Monday morning we drive to the Dometic service partner. After systematically circling the neighborhood (several streets were closed due to construction), we don’t find the company. Since my Argentine SIM card still isn\u2019t activated, we can’t call or send them a message. Back in Tigre, I then send a WhatsApp and it turns out that I had a wrong number. We were right in front of their house, but searching for them on the other side of the street. So, we drive there again in the afternoon and this time everything works out. We have to leave the refrigerator with them so they can test it. But they also tell us directly that it can take a week, because the technicians are all on vacation. We decide not to spend the waiting time in Tigre, but to drive to a beach of Rio de La Plata. There is at least some wind, which makes the heat (over 30 degrees) more bearable. With an overnight stop in Puerto Madero we find plenty of parking spaces at the beach of Punta Lara. At a kiosk I try to buy and activate a SIM card from another provider. But even with the help of the very nice employee it did not work. She is told by the hotline that I should get the name and DNI (passport number) of an Argentinian. That would be easier than registering the card with a foreign passport. But at least I now have internet access near the kiosk, since the employee gave me the access code. On Friday we go to downtown La Plata and there I can finally activate the Argentine SIM card in a Clar\u00f3 store. However, there is no Clar\u00f3 signal at the beach. The visit of the city is short because of the heat. We walk through one of the many parks and look at Casa Cruchuet, which is one of the architectural highlights of the city. In the late afternoon we are back at the beach of Punta Lara when I hear a voice from outside that sounds like it is calling Ralph. When I check, Pablo, an Argentinian from the neighborhood, is standing outside with his daughter Catalina. He has already seen our car on the 1st day in Punta Lara and looked at our blog. Now he would like to meet us and offer his help if we need anything. Catalina acts as an interpreter. I am impressed how well the 11-year-old speaks English and translates for her father. Since nothing else is happening with our refrigerator, we actually take advantage of his offer the next day and I ask him if he can find out contact information for a dealer who offers (Chinese) refrigerators. Pablo calls a friend who repairs refrigerators himself and another friend comes by to take care of our problem. Finally, we get in contact with the dealer and the friend confirms that he has a Chinese refrigerator in his motorhome and that they are not bad at all. So, our decision is made and we agree with the dealer that we will come by on Wednesday and pick up the fridge. Now we can enjoy the last day in La Plata a bit more. Catalina and her mother Rocio come by around noon and bring us some farewell gifts and a very nice letter. At this point again a big thank you to the whole family. Our next problem is now to get our empty gas bottle filled, but this is easier and faster than expected at a gas plant in Areco. The next major destination is Rosario. However, we first spent one night at Camping Municipal Baradero. We already visited Rosario in 2019, but after the 1st<\/sup> night had to move to a campsite a bit farther away from the city because of problems with the battery. We quickly find our site again and stay 4 nights. The first two nights we have a bit of live music, as a concert is taking place in the amphitheater next door. Because of the heat we stay mostly in the parks along the shore and walk several times to an ice cream parlor that we discovered by chance. Because of Carnival, Monday and Tuesday are holidays. In Argentina a lot of the life on weekends and holidays takes place in the parks in summer. Therefore, they are full of locals from afternoon to early evening. At least, this time we manage one day to take the elevator to the observation deck of the Memorial La Bandera; here the Argentine flag was hoisted the 1st time.
