Vier Wochen bleiben wir in San Mart\u00edn bei Erica und Max auf dem Platz. Wir k\u00fcmmern uns um Arbeiten am Auto (Ralph), wie Ventile einstellen, Wasserfilter tauschen, die Schramme von Bariloche ausbessern etc. und administrative Arbeiten (Ute), wie Blog, Polarsteps, Steuern, Reiseplanung etc. 2 x legen wir Waschtage ein, d. h. fahren in die Stadt und bringen die W\u00e4sche weg, aber auch zum Sightseeing fahren wir in die Stadt. Das Zentrum ist unver\u00e4ndert, aber der Platz am Lago Lacar, auf dem wir die ersten paar Tage von \u201eLa Cuarentena\u201c gestanden haben, sieht v\u00f6llig anders aus. Alle B\u00e4ume wurden gef\u00e4llt und es sieht so aus, als w\u00e4re er planiert worden. Die Dixie-WCs sind verschwunden und die Zufahrt ist gesperrt. Die Stra\u00dfe vor dem Platz ist jetzt eine \u201eFressmeile\u201c mit mobilen Imbissbuden. Irgendwann zwischendurch er\u00f6ffne ich die Weihnachtsb\u00e4ckerei und backe Stollen. Silvia & Pablo und Erich & Mausi kommen uns kurz besuchen und wir schaffen es, einen Tag zusammen im Golfclub essen zu gehen. Auch mit Jessi, Juli & Luna, Mani, Ralph & Charo und Erica & Max finden wir einen gemeinsamen Termin f\u00fcr ein Asado. Ausgerechnet an dem Wochenende ist das Wetter schlecht. Morgens, als wir zum Metzger gehen um das Fleisch zu kaufen, f\u00e4ngt es an zu regnen, aber p\u00fcnktlich zum Anz\u00fcnden des Grills, klart es auf und wir k\u00f6nnen sogar drau\u00dfen sitzen. Leider f\u00e4llt der zweite vereinbarte Termin f\u00fcr eine Noche de Pizza dann aus. Obwohl beim Asado, als wir den Termin ausgemacht haben, alle zugesagt hatten, best\u00e4tigt dann eine Woche sp\u00e4ter auf Ericas Nachfrage keiner den Termin. Daf\u00fcr sitzen wir an unserem letzten Abend mit Erica und Max zusammen in ihrer H\u00fctte und quatschen bis fast Mitternacht. Auf Empfehlung von Silvia & Pablo entschlie\u00dfen wir uns, den Grenz\u00fcbergang Hua Hum zu nehmen und dann mit der F\u00e4hre \u00fcber den See zu fahren. So machen wir uns genau vier Wochen, nachdem wir hier eingetroffen sind auf den Weg zur chilenischen Grenze. Kaum sind wir im Nationalpsrk Lanin, haben wir wieder Schotter unter den R\u00e4dern. Vom Aussichtspunkt werfen wir nochmal einen Blick auf San Mart\u00edn und dann geht es \u00fcber eine sch\u00f6ne Strecke durch den Wald zum Grenz\u00fcbergang Hua Hum. Die Formalit\u00e4ten sind schnell erledigt und dann steht nur noch die Inspektion durch den chilenischen Zoll an. Die ist diesmal sehr gr\u00fcndlich. In der Kabine muss ich alle Schr\u00e4nke \u00f6ffnen und Ralph muss alle Aussenklappen aufmachen und sogar den Werkzeugkasten \u00f6ffnen. Der ganze Prozess geht aber z\u00fcgig und freundlich von statten und so sind wir um kurz nach 15h in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stay in San Mart\u00edn with Erica and Max for four weeks. We take care of work on the truck (Ralph), like adjusting valves, changing water filters and repairing the damage from Bariloche etc. and administrative work (Ute), like blog, polarsteps, taxes, trip planning etc. Twice we have laundry days, i.e. we drive into town to bring our clothes to a laundry, but we go into town for sightseeing as well. The center is unchanged, but the square at Lago Lacar, where we spent the first few days of „La Cuarentena“, looks completely different. All the trees have been cut down and it looks like it has been leveled. The porta-potties are gone and the access road is closed. The street in front of the square is now a „food mile“ with mobile food stalls. Sometime in between I start with Christmas bakery and bake stollen. Silvia & Pablo and Erich & Mausi visit us briefly and we manage to spend a day eating together at the golf club. With Jessi, Juli & Luna, Mani, Ralph & Charo and Erica & Max we find a common date for an asado, too. Of all things, the weather is bad that day. In the morning, when we go to the butcher to buy the meat, it starts to rain, but just in time to start the barbecue, the clouds clear up and we can even sit outside. Unfortunately, the second appointment for a Noche de Pizza doesn\u2019t happen. While having the asado, we all agreed on a day. However, a week later, when Erica’s asks for confirmation, no one answers. So, on our last evening we just sit together with Erica and Max t in their home and chat until almost midnight. Based on a recommendation from Silvia & Pablo we decided to take the border crossing Hua Hum and then take the ferry across the lake. So exactly four weeks after arriving in San Mart\u00edn we leave towards the Chilean border. As soon, as we enter NP Lanin the road is gravel. we stop at the lookout and then move on towards the frontier of Hua Hum. The road is winding but nice through the woods. We\u2018re done with all formalities pretty fast and then have to go through the inspection by chilean customs. They are very thorough. I have to open all cupboards in the cabin and Ralph has to open all outside storage compartments and even the box with his tools. However, the whole process is fast and friendly and thus we\u2018re in Chile shortly after 3pm. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
